I’m a web developer passionate about progressive design and technology that works like it should. I’ve been at it for over a decade and learn something new every day.
I love my job. I get to spend my day helping great non-profits change the world. Standards rock, spaghetti code gets me down, and coffee keeps the world turning.
Languages: PHP, (x)HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML/JSON, SQL. Light ASP, CF, and ActionScript.
Technologies: AJAX, Adobe AIR, APIs, Blogs, RSS, Podcasting, LAMP, W3C Standards
Platforms: WordPress (active developer), Drupal, iPhone, Facebook, OS X Dashboard
Weapons of Choice: PowerBook G4, Coda, Adobe Creative Suite.
After hours, I’m a cyclist, photographer, and weekend hacker.I’m also a part of an open dialogue within Christianity called “emergent,” a group of friends and bloggers encouraging the church to adopt progressive but humble perspectives that translate into meaningful action advancing global justice, tolerance, and equality. And I love a good microbrew.
At the moment, I’m finishing my final year of school at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. I grew up in the midwest, but will be moving back to Portland, Oregon in July 2008 to settle down and start a career.
Until then, I have a year of traveling, thinking, reading, and writing ahead. I’m also packing one mean camera.
